66 to 29: Your Rights Don't Mean Shit
Let's remember that the whole idea behind the "War on Terra" is to protect ourselves against those who would threaten our way of life. Why should we worry about Islamic extremists hiding in caves when we have so many doing a good job right here?
I know of no greater threat against us than our own homegrown enemies who seek to dismantle and warp our constitutional protections.
There are reasons for the Bill of Rights. There are reasons for the 4th Amendment. And they are that giving too much power to the government is deadly to a democratic state. We cannot practice freedom, liberty, democracy, and all the other teary-eyed, hand-on-heart words tossed about by our Imperial President.

Today's Best Headline
I read a lot of news. I read a lot blogs. Sometimes I read headlines and ledes fully with the intent of gaining a better understanding of the day's event. Other times I just scan.
