Yahoo! News - Pamela Anderson Wants to Meet KFC Heads
"I must admit from the outset that I can't understand why a company that claims to care about animal welfare would continue to allow chickens to be bred and drugged to be so top-heavy that they can barely walk..."I'm sure Ms. Anderson would much rather give the chickens the right to volunteer to surgically alter their breasts so much that they can barely walk.
Am I the only one who sees the humor here?

The economy is in the dumps and getting worse.
Jobless recovery my ass! Nothing is happening anywhere. There is no growth. Productivity is up, yes, but only at the expense of the people who have jobs and find themselves doing the jobs of several people. The economy has shed more jobs in the last three years than any time since The Depression.
Iraq is a quagmire. Every day the resistance digs in a little deeper. Every day more U.S. soldiers die. What does the Bush administration do? Fix the problems in Iraq? Remove U.S. troops? Admit it was an act of foolishness to occupy Iraq in the first place? No. It invites Turkish soldiers (former colonizers of Iraq) to take part in peacekeeping efforts. And let's not forget the grand PR campaign that was launched last week. The president does interviews with starry-eyed journos from the Bugtussel Tribune and Gazette and assures them that everything is just fine. "We've got the electricity on and the water running. We've got schools operational. We've got the major oil pipelines secure and flowing." Guess what, dude: That was all working before we invaded.
In short, the prez reassures frumpy Maureen Kilpatrick full-time mom and part-time writer for the Paducah County Daily Register that everything is just fine so it must be. Right, Maureen? "Mr. President ... May I call you that? Yes. Oh, thank you. So what's it like being the son of a president?"
And in the face of this and other news from home and abroad, what does Congress do? You guessed it ... They passed themselves a pay raise. That makes five years in a row now in the Senate. Your Senator now makes $21,000 more today than he/she did five years ago. That's nearly a 20% increase. How much has your pay gone up in that time? Mine has gone down exactly 100%.
Good thing that jobless recovery is coming my way. Things are getting better. I can feel it!

Arnold is govenor-elect in California.
Roy has been eaten by a tiger.
Treason has been committed by the Whitehouse (again).
SARS is preparing a reunion tour.
The Middle East is closer to wide-spread war than ever before.
And Howard Dean may actually be a Yankees fan! Oh, the shame. Yeah, believe it or not, that is the best that Kerry can say about the Democratic frontrunner. Get a grip, Bob.
