Boy! It's been a while. What the heck have I been doing since Aug 25th anyway?
In a word: nothing.
Yes, that's right nothing. My life as an unemployed tech industry worker is jam-packed with nothing, nada, zilch, zip, zero, zed. Oh for those glory days when every tech worker had a Vegas showgirl on each arm, cupboards stocked with Chai Tea, and a limitless supply of bandwidth with which to play Quake against our office mates.
It's a far cry from diapers, dog piss, pre-school bus duties, and grocery runs. "Yeah, 220, 221. Whatever it takes."
On a more somber note, don't watch too much TV today. And don't let your kids watch without your supervision. The images from 9/11 are haunting and disturbing and will be played with relish before and after each commercial break. Uptap from the media jack and read a book or go to the park.
