Not much of drinker myself, but I recommend the following:
The State of the Union Address Drinking Game 2003
The rules are simple: every time W. says or does certain things you take the prescribed number of drinks. I'm betting that by the first 15 minutes you and your besotted friends will be in the bathroom calling for Hans Bliiiiiiiiiiiiaaaaaxxx to make your own regime change.
Cheers! Slainte! Skol! etc.

From the Headlines:
Police Shoot Teddy at Jehovah's Witness Hall
There I was just minding my own business, perusing the latest issue of Watchtower, and ... Blam! Blam! In they come with both barrels blazing! It was a very trying experience. I assure you.
Happy Weekend to y'all!

Stark, white, mocking screen
The empty space defeats me.
I should write ... I can't.

I trust that all of my dear readers had a wonderful holiday season and were able to get up close and tight to those most important to you when the big crystal ball announced the dawn of the new year.
Given the time of year, everyone is, of course, talking about resolutions. Normally I hold no stock in them. Much like superstitions and old wives tales they have no real value other than conversation. But this year I feel a little different. Maybe its a change in temperment. Maybe its old age creeping up on me. Maybe its nothing at all. I don't know.
However, my resolutions come with a twist. You know how most people resolve to do less: less eating, less smoking, less drinking, less rubbing against strange women in crowded subway cars. Well, I resolve to do more.
I want to do more, create more, love more, laugh more, give more. I want to BE more. More of a friend. More of a husband. More of father, a musician, a writer, an artist, a cook, a gardener, a handyman, a business ... a human being.
Do more. Be more. That's my motto for '03. Stick around for this time next year and let you know how I did.
