I am beginning to hate the X10 camera. I get a pop up ad for this damnable thing at leat four or five times a day. I hope it and its manufacturers fall flat on their faces. I also hope the sites that have this obnoxious ad on them get nasty head cold and are bed ridden for a couple of days. A plague upon both your houses!

To my uncle ...
Uncle Pete died last week. We didn't even know he was sick until just a few days before he died. Apparently, he didn't want anyone to see him sick and enfeebled. I for one wish I would have the chance. I would have thanked him for meaning more to me than I thought he did. Looking back I can see that he was always on the look out for someone else's happiness. His unexpected visits were his way of keeping tabs on everyone, to see if we had food on the table, shoes on our feet, and clothese on our backs. He listened intently when you spoke to him, so much so that it was sometimes uncomfortable. He often seemed to hang on your every word, words that he would never forget. Nor did he forget special occaisions. He was a regular at birthdays, reunions, holiday get togethers, graduations, etc.
His four children, my cousins, are as happy and well adjusted as anyone in this strange world of ours. He taught them lessons of love and life, often in ways that we found uncommon and occaisionally mean spirited. But Pete was never one to confuse love with coddling or giving with spoiling. He was able to give both of the former without ever resorting to the latter.
He was quick with a smile and warm handshake. When he told you that he was there for you, he meant it.
Thank you, uncle and good bye.

TeddyCarroll.com has safely found its way through the propagation mine field. It has transcended the world of IP address number soup and entered it's adolescent years of domainhood! TeddyCarroll.com is now live throughout the Web. Anyone visiting can now forget those meaningless IP numbers and simply type www.teddycarroll.com into their address bar, or open window for all of you keyboard shortcutters out there.
This may not be all that exciting for all of you, since everyone and their mother has their own domain these days, but it is a big thing for me. It reminds me of the feeling that I had the first time that I saw my name appear in the credits of movie. I'm famous! I'm somebody! I may only be a single somebody in a sea of 50 million Web site somebodies, but, never-the-less, I am somebody!

Well, I finally did it. I bought my own name. That's right I've been given permission to use the name that I've toted around all of my life to identify myself. I bought the teddycarroll.com domain and found a pretty good new host at Fat Cow. I've got a large amount of space and some heavy transfer limits.
The price was right, too. $99 for a year including free domain registration. Now I've got full cgi and ssi capabilities and should have no reason at all to make this place full of all sorts of great functional and usable bells and whistles.
Please stay tuned as TeddyCarroll.com begins to sprout wings and take flight.

I need some help!
I'm looking for a new host for Adventures. AT&T, my current host, doesn't accept anything other than html pages. I want to add some asp capabilities to my site. Does anyone know of a cheap host that supports asp, or at least ssi?
I'm trying hard to make this a better place, but with limited budget for a good host there is only so much that I do. Any help would be appreciated.
Also, if you know of any free apps, specifically a mail list app, that would sure help, too! Let me know.

It was bound to happen sooner or later ... my first compliment! And from whom I would call a good critic, Christina Wodtke from Elegant Hack. Thank you very much for your kind words, Christina. It was your site that inspired me to jump into the blog ring. For about year, I had been following several blogs that I found particularly interesting, and then one day I stumbled upon Elegant Hack. It all just suddenly clicked: I would stop following and start doing (although I still read several blogs).
Thanks again, Christina.
Now if only I can find a way to foil Glen Green's plans to take over the universe!

With much trumpeting and fanfare, Glen Green has launched his site glengreen.com. If you have a strong stomach and a lot of time on your hands, you might want to stop by and check it out.
Note: The management in no way endorses the content of Mr. Green's site or any of its subsidiaries.

I really need to get a grip on this thing. Days and weeks go by between by entries. You'd think that I'd have a better appreciation for the need to have fresh content on a site. I drill it into my clients on a daily basis and yet my site goes neglected for days on end.
Again, I ask for patience. I'll get around to this site very soon.
