Whole Lotta Hubbub Goin' On
The Chattering Classes were all abuzz this weekend over Bill Clinton's reaction to questions from Chris Wallace on Fox. In case you missed it, I've posted the interview in three parts below. I love YouTube. Don't you?
Wallace vs. Clinton, Round 1
Wallace vs. Clinton, Round 2
Wallace vs. Clinton, Round 3Aside from Clinton's obvious agitation toward the accusation that he is to be blamed directly for the events of Sept. 11th, listen to the real message that he is trying to send: the emporer has no clothes.
The things that are made to look like efforts toward better security are merely election year window dressings, efforts to blame others for the failings of the current administration, and a systematic strategy to deflect the truth and distort reality.
For a taste of how the coverage played out, check out this video from yesterday's The Daily Show.
I'm reminded of what George Orwell once wrote: "During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act."
