Poor Kansas - Almost Makes You Feel Bad

From a PR point of view, I see why Subway had to pull the signs and apologize to Kansas, at least their franchisees there anyway. But since the Religiosos started reeking havoc on the Kansas State Board of Education in 1999, there are plenty of reasons to be glad not to be from Kansas - a flacid piece of greyish-pink salmon not withstanding.
It's latest jab into the eye of reason and emperical thought came back in November when, in a 6-4 vote (at least there are 4 reasonable people in the state), they decided to change the definition of science to include the search for supernatural explanations of natural phenomena.
Yes, there are plenty of reasons to be glad to be from places other than Kansas - at least if you consider yourself a person who is guided by intelligence and reason and not superstition and dogma.
