Cough ... sputter ... choke ... gasp!

Here's my take:

I want my children to INHERIT a nation that feels secure enough to act with kindness and charity out of respect and deceny not dogma and obligation.

I am GRIEVED when myopic evangelists focus on the symptoms but fail to contribute to a cure.

I am HORROFIED that an apocryphall allegory should be taken as permission for bigotry and hatred.

I WEEP over the inward facing tendancies of a small but powerful group who see dogmatic conformity to religious authority as the only way to cope with an evolving society.

I am OUTRAGED that anyone thinks that our courts are determined to anything other than interpret the laws that are laid before them.

I know that America's ONLY HOPE is tolerance and the ability to have empathy for and give sympathy to others.
