The job of updating this blog keeps getting harder and harder. I'm used to going through slumps of inactivity, but lately I just can't stayed motivated. You may think that this is easy, particularly since I rarely put any creativity into my writing - I normally just rant or link or say goofy things - but just sitting down and staring at a blank screen is difficult.
Mostly, I use this forum to escape the blank screen of my word processor or screenwriting format - thinking to myself that at least I am writing someting!
Which is true. In fact, it's all that I'm doing now: writing something. Am I accomplishing anything? If stringing a few words together in mostly the correct syntax and structure without real value is the goal, then the answer is yes. If making a few of you smile and wish to come back in the future for some fresh smiles or thoughts, then the answer is also yes.
That's it then. Isn't it? Gaining some measure of satisfaction from affecting someone with a few lines of meter or prose.
Yes, I suppose it is.
I promise to write more often. (Was that to me or you?)
BTW, how is SF, Mr. Green?
